Welcome to Belfast!

Welcome to Belfast and Northern Ireland!  This Travel and tourist guide has the latest links, photos and articles about Belfast and Northern Ireland.  Well worth a visit,  Belfast has a unique and interesting history. Its set amongst some of the best scenery Ireland can offer and though deeply rooted in its past also looks towards its future on a grand scale.  Walk down any street today in the city and you find cranes, public works and mega construction.  It seems that hotels are springing up on any available land to cater for Belfast’s renewed visitor influx.

This city suffered badly during the legacy of the troubles,  a 30 year conflict recently ended between two sections of the community about the future status of Northern Ireland politically.  In the recent peaceful years after the Good Friday Agreement and end of violence many visitors have come from far and wide interested in such a legacy.  It would seem that Belfast’s worst chapter of violence lends itself towards a new tourist interest.  The murals of the Falls and Shankhill roads swelll in numbers of visitors during the summer months all eager to learn more about streets and roads that became internationally famous during the violence.  They are definately worth checking out.

An Political, economical and educational centre for Northern Ireland,  Belfast has much to offer the eager visitor.  Learn interesting historical facts.  Belfast built many grand ships such as Titanic and the shipyards still exist to this day.  Take an eager stroll down one of the city’s many shopping streets and come across brands such as House of Frazer, Apple store and H&M.  Grab your camera and hunt for the many grand historical buildings that prop up the city’s heritage and status to this day.  Pull on your shoes and frequent the many bars and restaurants open every night with themes and tastes to suite everyone.  Go traditional at Whites Bar enjoying the craic and traditional Irish Music or hit the Odyssey complex for a film or Clubbing to the wee small hours of the night.

Belfast has quite simply has it all.
